So today’s prompt asked for a poem about home so here is mine – To make it interesting I said that for each stanza the first letter of each line should spell out home. So enjoy and leave a like if you do:
Home, a place to rest your head,
Owner’s rights ensure you’re fed.
Majestic manors, and rudest huts,
Emergent stashes to hide your nuts.
Houses nestled among the leaves,
Outlaw dens, filled with thieves.
Managed homes to tend the old,
“Ensure they’re in and outta the cold!”
High-rise towers, reaching for stars,
Opulent cells, no need for bars.
Mum’s the word, my secret den,
Entreats my mind, to find my zen.
Halls through which the throngs must crawl,
Observe the writing upon the wall.
“Mystery how these houses stand,
Evoking the time they’ll be just sand.”
